WHAT OUR GUESTS ARE SAYING

Truly a top notch hotel

“I recently stayed at The Bee and was blown away by the design and thoughtful renovation. It's not easy nor cheap to renovate a large historic property and keep it feeling so luxurious and full of character - The Bee achieves both. Add to that the stellar customer service and it's clear this is a special place. I loved all the little nods to the history and appreciated the high end elements from the bed, furniture, lighting, and fixtures. The rood deck was a great addition and even though it was cold, Maddison lit the fire pit for my friend and me - so we could enjoy the beautiful evening.”

Great place to BEE

“This hotel is in a great location within walking distance to so much in Danville. Plus, the rooms are the nicest I've been in - high ceilings, great bathrooms, and comfy beds. I would recommend this to anyone for both business and pleasure!”

We heard such great reviews, we had to experience it for ourselves.

“Our son recently got married and our guests stayed at the Bee. The staff was very professional and easy to work with. Every guest enjoyed their time. The hotel is not just a room but an experience. Be sure to take in the view from the rooftop and sit back and enjoy your friend while cozing up to the outdoor fire.”

Fabulous!

“We LOVE The Bee Hotel! We stay here whenever we come to Danville and it's always a pure delight! The rooms are spacious, sparkling clean, and beautifully furnished. plus every amenity you might image-state of the art television, kitchen appliances, and lighting. And the staff is super friendly and helpful! Bottom line: It's all so comfortable, you may not want to leave!”

A jewel. As good as it ever gets. World-class

“First off, if the Bee were a hotel in, say, New York City, San Francisco or Chicago, the room we stayed in would go for $600-800, not the equivalent of an interstate-intersection Hampton Inn. Not that Danville isn't rapidly gaining economic and cultural momentum. It's just that on our southern city-to-city pilgrimage to the Gulf we hand't expect this splendid an experience. Maybe we should have. We're both old newspaper folk, and the Bee, somehow, has reconfigured an old newspaper building into a modern palace that preserves the history, right down to the spiral staircase that the copy boy would use to run the first edition up from the presses to the editors. The details: The room was large, and beautifully designed. Great decor. More details: It was a five-minute walk through the great old architecture of the River District to a really cool restaurant, cotton at Riverside Mill. But what really makes this a special hotel is the people. From the moment you walk in, you're in some kinda of home away from home. So many "high-class" hotels makes you feel like product., right? Just flat-out indifferent that you've walked through their doors? The Bee offers the opposite experience. Go out of your way to find the way to roam the beautiful back highways pf southwestern Virginia, if only to stay at The Bee”

“Words cannot express how amazing our recent trip to the Bee hotel turned out to be. This boutique style accommodations lies within the quaint and revitalized heart of downtown Danville, VA. The accommodations were immaculate and spacious with loft high ceiling, cozy beds, a rooftop terrance, a fitness center,, and the added conveniences of home, making a stay here a must! The Bee hotel is within walking distance to the historic MLK bridge that crosses over the Dan River and offers a tranquil stroll as you look around at remnants oft he city's past, along with restaurants, and amazing coffee shops (shout out to. Links Coffee House). The staff were personable and welcome, and the decor of the lobby was very inviting and offered a unique charm. Looking forward to a future stay at The Bee.”
